I should have guessed (Mark "refreshing finger inside" ®) :)

Well, it could sound scary, but I really don't remember the 3 of us scared in any way. I think I remember that there was a lot of crackings noises in this house, but despite that, I really don't remeber beeing scared.

I'm pretty sure that the entity/ghost/phenomen/hallucination, call it whatever you like, was a good one.

Or maybe it was a trap to make us confident, and push us to try to communicate with it and then, with the viel weakened, it could have entered in the real world to rip our heads off :D Who knows :D
Will there be anything left to show the world that we ever did exist?

Have you thought about mentioning the Summerwind Mansion as part of the Secrety Frequency segment? It's something I used as a breaking in the Hedge in a Changeling game back when I was running it, which was creepy not only because it's a crazy place, but because most all the players were familiar with it... Summerwind is a property located in norther Wisconsin. Most everyone who has owned the property has gone mad or had committed suicide? Check. Supposed human remains? Check. Ghosts looking for property deeds and treasure maps? Check. House that changes size, shape and furnishment, even in photographs? Check...
During the 70s there was an attempted renovation which apparently went very poorly and most of the workmen quit after the machinery started moving around every night and other things started to go missing.
The house burned down in the late '80s after purchase by some investment bankers, but having been on the property, I must say, there is something that is just not freaking right about that place. Every been to a place that seems dark even when it's a bright sunny day? That would Summerwind.

Wow. Very cool. That's definitely something we can use :). Thanks for the tip!

The kitty of doom

"A cat called Oscar has become an omen of inmpending death at the nursing home where he lives. The cat wanders from room to room at Steere House, Rhode Island, and rarely stays with anybody for long. But when he stretches out beside a patient, it usually means their days are numbered. Since Oscar arrived in 2005, he has correctly predicted 50 deaths. Now Dr David Dosa, who treats patients at Steere House, has written a book about Oscars uncanny powers. The doctor says the cat is even better at diagnosis than the medical staff. Nurses once thought Oscar's powers were on the wane when he refused to stay on a dying patient's bed. The patient rallied and Oscar returned two days later for the patient's final hours"

Check out something called "The Panama Monster". Apparently as the story goes some hikers or children (depending on where you read the story) saw a creature emerge from a cave and then begin to approach them, at which point they resumed to slay the monster with nearby rocks or debris. The "monster" is hairless and pale of skin with flat facial features, thin limbed with hooked hands and a round belly. Most accounts say that it is simply a hairless sloth adapted to the dark and wet cave conditions, but really what could this animal have gone through.

In the world of darkness it could be considered any number of things, and prove the inherent danger of human kind knowing what monsters really exist in the shadows. Could the Panama monster have been a Changeling just escaping from the horrors of the hedge having expelled the mask in terror, crawling to the children or hikers for help. Could it be a infant like creature of a darker more dangerous subterainian race in your hunter the vigil game (maybe the inhabitant of "the hollow world" myth).

Just think twice before you call a monster a monster, it may be your best friend.

Interestingly, they found out probably why the cat warmed up to those patients. they were warm, either they had a fever or were cold and were wrapped with electric blankets to stop them from freezing. Just something cool I found.

Hope this hasn't been mentioned or covered on a podcast I missed. How about a secret frequancy on... secret frequencies. There are several weird broadcast sounds that go on around the world on channels that make little sense. There is a russian channel that plays weird buzzing and squeeking, upon which odd, distant voices can sometimes be heard. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y8LQMDQAoVk). Short wave radio is full of this kind of crap. I came upon an interesting article about it online recently, by my search-fu is weak tonight.

Pirate signals and jamming incidents can also be great fodder, such as the odd Max Headroom pirate interuption on Chicago Public Television (http://www.damninteresting.com/remember ... f-november). Obviously, this guy was a Malkavian or deranged pooka.

My current changeling: the lost character was taken because his own pirate broadcast reached the wrong ears in the Hedge, so obviously this subject has interested me lately.

From http://www.prairieghosts.com/devprom.html
The article goes into extensive detail about the phenomena, so just a teaser.

THE HORNET SPOOK LIGHT

Twelve miles southwest of Joplin, Missouri, an obscure paved road runs through a open patch of countryside. This nearly forgotten track runs across the Oklahoma border but is only about four miles long. Nearby is the former border village of Hornet, and close to that is the site of what once was a spook light museum. The place is remote and far from civilization, so why do so many people come here?

They are searching for an unexplained enigma, a puzzle that most of them actually seem to find. It has been seen along this road since 1866 and has created such a mystery that even the Army Corps of Engineers officially concluded that it was a "mysterious light of unknown origin". It has gone by many names as it has made it's appearances here in a place called the "Devil's Promenade", but it's most commonly known as the Hornet Spook Light.

UNCOMPLETED CINCINNATI SUBWAY

I think Eddy Webb may have mentioned this in one of his appearances on the show. I've used it many times in my Changeling chronicles. There is actually a station for it under Cincinnati's tallest building (site of many an Unseelie rave), and a "Satanic Altar" was found in one of the outlying branches. Even if it doesn't merit use on the Freq., here is a link for anyone interested. Great photos on some of the links of some forgotten urban archaeology.
